Rediffusion’s signature storyteller Lee Dai Sor’s classic piece Thunderstorm and Drought and the lottery music lives in the memories of our then-days Singaporeans’ memories. As Ah De comes into contact with old goods, he meets the owner of an antique shop, Mr “O”ld-Fashioned (acted by Ong Teck Chon). Together, they will reminisce Singapore’s olden days through items such as the abacus, clock, typewriter, mahjong, vinyl records and many others illustrated through pieces such as The Typewriter, The Syncopated Clock, Mahjong Kakis and the world premiere of local composer Phang Kok Jun’s Karung Guni Capriccioso!
*Concert will be conducted in Mandarin with English subtitles, recommended for children 7 years old and above.
Ticket Pricing (Excludes Booking Fee): S$25
Pre-Concert Activity
There will be a pre-concert activity held 45 mins before each concert, where young audience can try their hand to make abacus. Thereafter, children may take pictures with the abacus they made with vintage items on display at the photobooth.
