An SPH Gift of Music Concert welcomes the Lunar New Year

Singapore, 31 December 2012 (Monday) – The Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) will welcome the festive year of the snake in its first outreach concert in 2013 at the Clementi Mall. This concert is sponsored by the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Gift of Music Series. SCO Conducting Assistant Moses Gay En Hui will conduct.

SCO will be performing a series of Lunar New Year tunes including Gong Xi Fa Cai, Return of Spring, Gong Xi Gong Xi, Celebrating the New Year and Ying Chun Jie Fu. SCO will also be performing evergreen pieces of Teresa Teng – Story of the Little Town, Do Not Pick the Roadside Wildflowers, The Moon Represents My Heart and Tian Mi Mi. Make it a family’s day out and immerse in the festive mood with us at the Clementi Mall!

The SPH Gift of Music Series has been entertaining Singapore audiences since its launch in 2005. Sponsored by the SPH, the popular free concert series has brought music to the community in various locations such as the heartlands, parks, shopping malls, schools, campuses and the Esplanade.
