The second of four performances in the Keppel Land-sponsored series takes place on 13 October 2013 at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and takes on the theme of World of Animals.

Singapore, 25 September 2013 – Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) returns to the Singapore Botanic Gardens to present an evening of outdoor rhapsodies on 13 October 2013, Sunday, at 6pm. This concert is proudly sponsored by Keppel Land.

Under the baton of SCO’s Young Assistant Conductor-in-Residence Moses Gay, audience will enjoy an evening of animal-themed music such as Tiger Setting Off the Mountain, Grasshopper Fooling with Rooster, Hundreds of Birds Adoring a Phoenix, Liu Xing’s Animal Suites, Leroy Anderson’s Horse and Buggy, Huang Hai Huai’s Horse Racing, Saint-Saěns’s Finale of The Carnival of Animals and Malay folksong Burung Kakak Tua.

The Keppel Land – SCO Outdoor Rhapsody brings melodies played by traditional Chinese music instruments to the masses. Keppel Land has been a firm supporter of the arts. As part of the commitment to give back to communities and enrich lives, Keppel Land are proud to sponsor a series of four outdoor concerts take place at the Singapore Botanic Gardens on 4 August 2013, 13 October 2013, 19 January 2014 and 5 April 2014.
