Singapore, 4 May 2016 (Wednesday) – Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) and Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant combine music and food to present ‘Musical Bento Box’, two unique outdoor lunchtime concerts to Raffles Place executives on 19 May 2016 (Thursday) and 20 May 2016 (Friday). With SCO Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong leading the hour-long performance of melodious music, the concerts will take place at the atrium of UOB Plaza 1 and begin at 12 noon. Audience can also savour bento sets by Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant and complimentary premium Chinese tea by Tian Fu Tea Room.

Preparing different set lists on both days, SCO will perform diverse music scores including familiar favourites such as Malay folk song Rasa Sayang, Lengang Kanggung, Give Me a Rose, Medley of Sichuan Folk Songs, the groovy Sway, romantic piece Can’t Help Falling in Love and Libertango, a festive composition which incorporates classical music and jazz.
