Singapore Chinese Orchestra organizes the 4th Composer Workshop on 11 and 12 March

Singapore, 26 February 2018 (Monday) – The Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) organises the fourth Composer Workshop on 11 and 12 March 2018, at the newly renovated Singapore Conference Hall. The two-day workshop will be hosted by SCO Music Director Tsung Yeh and Composer-in-Residence Eric Watson. The SCO Composer Workshop 2018 is organized by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and funded by Temasek Foundation Nurtures.

Before he embarked on his studies in the United States, he was a familiar face in the local music scene, teaching bands and choirs in Singapore.

Mr Simon Kong Su Leong is a Malaysian musician who composes, arranges, conducts, performs, plans and teaches Chinese music. Simon Kong mastered several traditional musical instruments, and has been researching the Chinese “Five Elements” composition and orchestration methods in recent years.
