SPH Gift of Music – SCO Community Concert: Tunes of Exuberance @ Jurong East

Singapore, 3 July 2014 (Thursday) – Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) goes to Jurong East on 12 July to present an evening of great music. The concert will be conducted by SCO Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong. SCO Community Concert is sponsored by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) under the SPH Gift of Music series. Admission is free. 

Enjoy a selection of popular tunes such as Malay folksongs Chan Mali Chan, Indian folksong Munnaeru Valiba, Kungfu Panda, The Good Riding Horse, Gallop from The Comedians, 999 Roses and Chinese orchestral classic piece Fishermen’s song at the Eastern Seas. Yuhua Ukuklele Interest Group will also share the stage with the SCO to perform ukulele in Ja Jambo and Friends.

SCO Community Series brings music to your neighbourhood. This popular free concert series reflects SCO’s vision as a people’s orchestra – an institution for the community – where high standard performances are brought to the community.
