SCO’s Mother’s Day Concert, choreographed by Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong will see popular local singer Hong Shao Xuan belt out melodies in our tribute to all mothers. He will sing pieces including When I Think of You (classic xinyao written by Liang Wern Fook), theme songs of Hong Kong TV series The Brothers and Chameleon, as well as Liu Chia-chang’s evergreen melodies like Where My Home Is, In the Rain, When We Were Young, Pages of Autumn Poems, and Love Journey of a Thousand Miles. SCO dizi musician Tan Chye Tiong and gaohu musician Xu Wen Jing will also perform excerpts of Butterfly Lovers and Capriccio of Third Sister Liu respectively to warm the hearts of all mothers.
