Sun Peng, first-prize winner of the Hong Kong International Conducting Competition for Chinese Music and Music Director of the Shanxi Provincial Song and Dance Theater National Orchestra, will conduct SNYCO Annual Concert with SNYCO Music Director Quek Ling Kiong. First prize winner of the National Chinese Music Competition’s Erhu Open category Li Siyu and SNYCO member Low Likie will perform Singaporean young composer Phang Kok Jun’s double erhu concerto Storytellers on Ann Siang Road. The orchestra will also perform a myriad of orchestral and chamber music, including Feng Xiao Quan’s The Soaring Chinese Music, Chow Jun Yi’s Momentum, and Zhao Ji Ping’s Impressions of Macau.
