Xian Xing Hai, one of the earliest generations of Chinese composers, has lived in Singapore for 10 years and Yangzheng School was his alma mater in his eventual music career. SCO, under the directions of Tsung Yeh, will present this concert with established local and overseas musicians, many of the late great Chinese maestro Xian Xing Hai’s immortal masterpieces. Following Behind Enemy Lines, which has withstood the test of time, soprano Liu Fei and baritone Tao Kuo will separately sing the three songs February HomecomingShowgirl under the Iron Heel and Phantom Lover. Gold medalist pianist Sun Yindi, who won the 7th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in 2005, will play the masterpiece Yellow River Piano Concerto. The finale is a formidable line-up of chorus to render the grand choral masterpiece Yellow River Cantata.
